Monica: Monica Berg


FOH: Your current job title and place of business?

Monica: Owner, Tayēr + Elementary

FOH: How do you define mindfulness?

Monica: Awareness

FOH: There are so many kinds of wellness- physical, mental, environmental, spiritual. Which of these resonates the most with you and why?

Monica: One does not exist without the others.


FOH: What is something you would like to see change in the Hospitality Industry?

Monica: I'd like people to be more engaged in their own future, and not just when the cameras are on.

FOH: How can we be more aware of how we impact the environment, and how can living mindfully help us take better care of our communities?

Monica: These things need to be done because its the right thing to do - not a marketing gimmick or PR story.

FOH: Do you have any New Year’s Resolutions or Affirmations? And if yes, would you mind sharing them?

Monica: No. I never make NY resolutions.

FOH: What is the best way to approach implementing New Year’s Resolutions?

Monica: Not having one. Change only happens if you are willing to work for it.

FOH: Do you have any advice for someone who is struggling to find mindfulness in their lives?

Monica: Stop overthinking. Do what makes you happy. Don't listen to people who say you cant do it - they are wrong.
