Classy COcktails and Trap Music-Black culture & Its influence on Cocktails

February 16th | 7 PM EST

Join us for a discussion about music and spirits and how they have influenced each other over the years. We will discuss spirits and how they are produced, how the African American community influenced the way that cognac is consumed and how the music industry has become the unofficial brand ambassador of spirits.

about your bartender

I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. My first job was as a hostess in a Latin American restaurant where I moved my way up to a bartending position.

I have been bartending for 8 years and have worked in many bar environments, such as restaurant bars, sports bars, cocktail bars, and even cake bars. I have competed in competitions such as NOLA Bourbon Fest Bourbon Brawl, Espolon Cocktail Fights, and Speed Rack.

After losing my job due to COVID-19, I created a tech/productivity blog and YouTube channel for extra income and to use my creative energy. In my spare time, I create simple, easy-to-follow cocktail tutorials on Tiktok.

Join us as bartenders from past Speed Rack seasons, raise awareness and teach classes about African American history and influence in the food and beverage sector. Classes are free to attend.
