African American Literature (Food + Drink) with Alisha N.

February 22nd | 3 PM EST

Join us as we take a look at literature and share the stories, recipes and experiences of African Americans in Food and Beverage. Literature is a power tool that connects us throughout time. It preserves the ever evolving human and shares their perspective and experience.

about your bartender

Alisha Neverson is a Brooklyn based bartender whose interests in community and creativity have positioned her behind the bar at a few of Brooklyn's well loved small businesses.

She believes the bar industry's currency is exchanged in culture and values the sets of experiences shared by the bar community that mold the spaces where we gather and create the moments in our life that we cherish.

When she’s not focusing on experimenting with spirits and flavors, she’s focusing on exercising her creative energy through music and movement, and practicing resistance.
