Laura Louise Green is a veteran bartender, a spirits educator, and a licensed professional mental health counselor. She earned a master’s degree in Education from DePaul with a concentration in Community and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In 2016 her article Substance Abuse is a Community Issue was published on Tales of the cocktail.com which, in her own words, completely altered the trajectory of her career. She realized that she possessed a profoundly unique and solution oriented perspective into the issues of mental health, substance abuse, sexism, racism, classism, and ageism from within the F&B industry.

In Episode 002 of The Focus On Health Podcast, Alex and Laura discussed the issues of mental health and coping with work environments in the food and beverage industry, substance abuse, asking for help, and building safer environments for hospitality workers.
