The service industry was one of the first affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with massive closures and layoffs. As cities and states start relaxing COVID-19 shut downs and restaurants begin to offer indoor dining, tipped workers have reported a substantial decline in tips, a disturbing increase in sexual harassment, and an overwhelming responsibility to protect public health. Join the National Women’s Law Center, the National Legal Advocacy Network, and service professionals to discuss how tipped workers are surviving in a post COVID-10 era and what rights they have at work to protect themselves.
